The boat trip parts from Fiskardo harbour at 10.00 a.m and returns around 16.30 p.m at Fiskardo harbour.
Our typical Greek kaiki (the boat ) can host only 18 guests plus the crew, which is 2 people.
The appointment prior departure is at 09.45 a.m in front of the boat, which is moored HERE.
Should you arrive by car, you may park it in THIS parking area found within 2 minutes walking distance from the boat.
Once the boat departs, you shall navigate towards Ithaca, the land of Ulysses. On your way to Ithaca, Vassilis and Pierre will be narrating to you the local history and mythology, for which is famous this particular area.
Once the boat arrives at Ithaca, it usually moors in the idyllic Omundi bay. This bay is accessible only by the sea and is famous for it’s crystal clear water. Here you can swim and snorkel, the visibility is spectacular and it’s not rare to discover an octopus’ house. Alternatively you may simply relax on the beach or on board and enjoy the warm Greek sun.
Afterwards we recommence our trip, navigating closely the west coast of Ithaca until we reach (without stopping) the famous Polis bay.
Continuing our trip in the Ithaca channel, we shall approach and circumnavigate the islet of Daskaliò close enough for you to see the beautiful church of Saint Nicolas.
Our trip continues heading south, this time on a quest to locate the famous turtles that populate the area; with a bit of luck and the outmost respect for the wildlife and ambient that hosts them, we might get a chance to observe these animals from close.
Recommencing with our navigation, this time close to the Eastern coast of Kefalonia, we shall visit and anchor our Kaiki to the picturesque Katelimata bay. Famous for it’s blue green water, this bay is full of marine life;
You can swim and snorkel, sunbathe….
This is also where a succulent lunch buffet is served, composed by various mediterranean dishes. The lunch is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, but please note that it is NOT for gluten free and celiacs.
After lunch, given some time to relax, we shall depart heading North cruising the Kefalonian West coast until we reach the magnificent Porto Nicùtso bay which is also our last port of call.
There you can have a last swim before we slowly start heading back to Fiskardo harbour.
On board, all the necessary equipment for snorkeling is available, plus wetsuits in the beginning/end of the season.
Ticket price for adults: 74 euros;
Price for kids between 4-13 years old: 49 euros ;
and FREE between 0-3 years old.
In the ticket price, the lunch served onboard is included, the soft and alcoholic drinks served during lunch are included and water for the whole trip is also included. Soft drink and beer cans besides lunch time cost 1 euro per can.
It is of utmost importance to keep in mind that the boat and the trip is subject to the weather conditions. Hence, our itinerary may be altered accordingly and sometimes not possible to visit the island of ithaca. In such occasion, (not possible to visit Ithaca because of the weather conditions) you shall be informed before boarding the vessel by the crew. Should you not wish to join the trip under these terms, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket fare you have prepaid. From the moment you do board the vessel, after the captain having communicated to the guests the weather conditions and itinerary, you consent in full knowledge the variations of the itinerary and no refund shall take place.
